Making plans for the new year, intending to build up or finally start saving, do not be too conscientious. Do not think over all the details and the smallest steps - such a paradoxical advice is given by psychologists at the University of Florida (USA). They found out, concentrating on the developed strategy, we can see other ways of achieving the goal (for example, not only diet can do us slim, but also jogging with a friend) and more often succumb to the temptation to retreat from the new rule. When in the course of the experiment, students were asked to save a certain amount of money, it was those who had a clear savings plan that they violated at the first opportunity by buying something tasty. It seems more useful not to engage in meticulous planning, but to imagine in detail what we want to achieve, hang up pieces of paper with reminders of the goal set and ... rely on the will of the unconscious, which will lead in the right direction.
